I have a collection of coins that i wish to understand the historical value and also the value as of today as its intrigues me. Coins from anywhere in the world which i have collected from friends, some of them are bought in bulk. Some may already lost its cosmetic feature in which in total unidentified date, but overall its a bizarre collection i kept from time to time. So in this blog i would dedicated the collection to show the world its actually cool to have an antique collection. Any Visitor to my site may inquire about the item and ask for advice or if you want to suggest,you are welcome and thats very kind of you people. Historical value of this items are very interesting and should never be forget and its intriguing if you actually dive into the past and understand the whole story of it. Will post more soon!

GEORGIVS VI D G:BR:OMN:REX ET INDIAE:IMP / World War II Medal 1939–45

A circular silver (.800 fine) medal, 36mm in diameter. The British issue medals were made of cupro-nickel.
The obverse shows the crowned coinage effigy of King George VI, facing left, and the legend GEORGIVS VI D:G:BR:OMN:REX ET INDIAE:IMP.
The reverse shows a lion standing on the body of a double-headed dragon. The dragon's heads are those of an eagle and a dragon to signify the principal occidental and oriental enemies. At the top, just right of centre are the dates 1939/1945 in two lines.
The ribbon is 1.25 inches wide and consists of 7 coloured stripes: red, dark blue, white, narrow red (centre), white, dark blue, and red, representing the colours of the Union Flag
The medals were issued unnamed; except those awarded to personnel of the Canadian Merchant Marine, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police who served only on the RCMP schooner St. Roch, the Royal Indian Army, South African and Australian forces, which were named on the rim.

1939-45 Star
This star was awarded for service in the Second World War between 3 September 1939 and 2 September 1945.
The recipient was awarded this star if their service period was terminated by their death or disability due to service. Also the award of a gallantry medal or MID also produced the award of this medal, regardless of their service duration.
Royal Navy personnel had to complete 6 months service afloat in active operational areas.
Army personnel had to complete 6 months service in an operational command. Airborne troops qualified if they had participated in any airborne operations and had completed 2 months service in a fully operational unit.
RAF personnel had to participate in operations against the enemy providing that 2 months service had been completed in an operational unit. Non-aircrew personnel had to complete 6 months service in an area of operational army command.
Merchant Navy qualified if they completed 6 months service, and at least 1 voyage was made through an operational area.
Members of fighter aircraft crews who took part in the Battle of Britain (10 July to 31 October 1940) were awarded the "Battle of Britain" bar to this medal.
